The Westbrook Mill manufactures specialty coated papers used in a myriad of diverse applications, including the fashion, automotive, aerospace and flooring industries. <span style="color: black; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">Candidates should have a two year technical degree and/or equivalent machinist apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
<span style="color: black; line-height: 115%; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 11pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;">Candidates should have experience in a machine shop that supports maintenance activities – preferably 5 years or more.
- Successful candidate must be a self starter and highly motivated; results oriented and able to work independently.
- Candidates must have crane and rigging experience.
- Candidates must have welding (arc/tig) experience.
- Roll grinding and gearbox rebuild/rotating equipment experience preferred.
- Candidates may occasionally work holidays and weekends.
- Basic computer skills; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook). Familiarity with SAP CMMS is a strong plus.
Sappi offers an excellent compensation and benefits package, including but not limited to a starting hourly rate of $24.45 - 27.16 for the experienced Machinist. All are eligible for a comprehensive healthcare, pension and vacation plans, as well as 12 paid holidays per year.
